Karen Taft-Sheeran
Director
I have more than 35 years child care experience and before opening Squiggles in 2011 I was a registered child minder in Hagley since 1999. Over the years I have cared for scores of children, while looking after my own three children. I have an NVQ 3 in Children’s Care, Learning and Development and Cordon Bleu Cookery Diploma. When I’m not working I love walking my two labradoodles and spending time with my family.

Hi, I’m Abi and I am the manager here at Squiggles! I am Karen and Pauls daughter and have been involved in the nursery since it opened in 2011. Even when I was that young, I knew this was going to be the career I wanted to go into. I have worked my way up throughout the years starting as an apprentice and now having a degree in Early Years. My passion for children shows throughout the nursery and through the amazing team we have here! I strive to make this a home from home for all the families, children and staff at Squiggles!
Chloe Roden
Deputy Manager/ Toddler Room Leader
Level 3
Chloe has completed her Level 3 in Early Years and Education and is our Toddler Room Leader. She has been with us for over 5 years, working her way from apprentice to Deputy Manager. She is First Aid trained as well as advanced safeguarding lead trained.
May Felton
Third in Charge / Baby Room Leader
May has completed her Level 3 in Early years with us. She is our baby room leader and provides a warm, home-from-home environment. May especially loves creating messy tuff trays for the babies to explore!
Davina Wilkes
Nursery Practitioner/ Cook
Davina plans and provides nutritional meals and snacks and supports the children and staff within all rooms throughout the nursery. Davina holds a Level 3 in Early Years and Education as well as a cookery diploma.
Katie Guthrie
Pre-School Room Leader
Level 2
Katie has completed her Level 2 apprenticeship with us and is now doing her Level 3. She is our pre-school room leader and ensures that all children are building their confidence and independence before moving to school!
Gracie Dunn
Level 3
Gracie has completed her Level 3 apprenticeship with us. She works alongside May in
the baby room, providing lots of singing and fun activities!
Tara Moore
Bank Staff
Level 5
Tara has been with us since 2013 and worked various roles throughout the years from Manager to bank staff. Although she passed over to Abi a few years ago she can’t stay away! She loves coming in and spending time with the children and showing them her crazy side!
Amelia Fletcher
Level 3
Amelia has completed her Level 3 apprenticeship with us. She works alongside Katie in the pre-school room providing fun and educational activities for all the children. She is going to university to study Early Years and extend her knowledge further.

Level 3
Cara has completed her Level 3 apprenticeship with us. She works in the baby room
alongside May providing a warm and nurturing environment for all our babies.

Tara has worked with us for over 8 years. She has reduced her working time to spend more time with family but loves to come back and help when she can. The children and staff love seeing her!
